Report describes archaeological material recovered in September 1999 by Fort McPherson elder Woody Elias and GSCI staff from a disturbed historic archaeological site in Fort McPherson, and provides a short description of how the site was used according to the oral history. The report recommends that test excavations of the site be carried out in the near future to determine its nature and extent while also providing an opportunity to train local people, thereby raising an understanding and understanding of archaeology and Gwich'in heritage.
